Beware Predatory Publishing!
The rise in predatory and disreputable scholarly journals is something that can harm the reputation of researchers and institutions. The Librarians at the Carpenter Library are trying to stay abreast of these issues and offer assistance to faculty and scholars when trying to determine which publishers are legit.

Carpenter Library is getting a new proxy server on February 26, 2018, specifically during the hours of 2pm to 4:30pm. This proxy server ensures that WFBMC users can gain access to licensed materials provided to them by the institution when on non-medical center networks. During the testing and after go-live, users will see this:
There will be no disruption or downtime. Users who have already registered (non-medical center employees/students) for access should not experience any issues. All Medical Center employees, students and affiliates who are off any campuses should continue to go through the Library's homepage to access resources.
