Tips for printing, photocopying, and scanning at Carpenter Library and BGCME

Print - Copy - Scan - Fax

Carpenter Library has three Xerox MFDs (Multi-Function Devices) and one color printer.

  • Print from your medctr laptop or desktop computer - with options for 2-sided printing, stapling, and hole punch
    • Log on to the Release Station after sending the job
  • Photocopy in B+W or Color with same options
  • Email a scan of the document to yourself and others (in TIF format)
  • Fax documents using Server Fax via the internet
  • Log in to Workflow Scanning and set up custom templates with advanced options

The Student Resource Center downtown has 4 MFDs:

  • 1 B+W, 1 Color in 3302 (while the Resource Center is open)
  • 1 B+W, 1 Color  3303 (24/7 access)

Scanning/Faxing

To Scan to email, log in with medctr credentials. It will automatically send to the login address, may cc: others as well. Document will be delivered to email in TIF format

To Fax, no login necessary.

  • dial 9 to fax outside of the medical center
  • dial 1 before long-distance and toll-free numbers
  • as of April, 2016 - must use 336 on local numbers
  • the confirmation sheet means it got to the server; desk staff can check to see if it went through
