Instructions

ROOMS in Student Resource Center at Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education building:

  • Study rooms:
    • Submit a ticket via service now.  https://wakehealth.service-now.com/. Ask for access to the “student room templates” in EMS. Use EMS to book your space.  Please do not submit a service now ticket asking for a room to be booked.

  • Recording Room (Studio)

    • Reservations

Recording Room details

  • Software: Camtasia 9 - screen recorder and video editor; Audacity - simple audio recording

  • Equipment: double monitors, microphone, two mounted cameras, headphone

  • Tips

    • Restart the computer to initialize recording equipment

    • Log in with your medical center credentials and save files to your network drive, or encrypted portable device

    • To capture live video in the Recording Room:

    • In Camtasia, it’s under Tools – Record Camera

      • Saves as a WMV – windows media file (will prompt you where to save)

    • If you need to print, run the Pharos script on the desktop to add printers under your account

    • RESTART computer when finished, shut down panel
